Join RAN as We Mobilize to End Mountaintop Removal at Appalachia Rising; Sep. 25-27; Washington D.C.
Mountaintop removal is an atrocity that has literally exploded over 500 mountains, clear cut over a million acres and harmed numerous communities throughout Appalachia. Rainforest Action Network (RAN) is working with a broad coalition of environmental, faith, labor, community and Appalachian groups and individuals in mobilizing thousands to Washington D.C. on Sept 25-27 to abolish mountaintop removal.
Appalachia Rising will be two days of strategizing, workshops, speakers and non-violence training. On Sept. 27, we will rally, march and support individuals participating in dignified non-violent civil disobedience while calling for an end to mountaintop removal.
RAN activists and organizers will be on the ground and we want you to join us in the streets of Washington D.C. RAN will be organizing events and activities to participate in Appalachia Rising.
