More than any other bank, Bank of America is trashing our economy and our environment in the name of its own profits. As of June 2010, Bank of America had $88 billion worth of foreclosed homes in its portfolio — making them the biggest forecloser of homes in the country. Over the past 2 years, Bank of America has invested over $4.3 billion (more than any other bank) in the coal industry, one of the biggest threats to public health and climate stability.
On May 8th, we will hold an Alternative Shareholder Meeting that will be a day of strategizing, workshops, speakers and non-violence direct action training. On May 9th, we will rally, march and take action at Bank of America’s annual meeting.
Meet us at 8am on May 9: The Green, Tryon @ Levine Ave of the Arts, Charlotte, NC.
RAN activists and organizers will be on the ground and we want you to join us in the streets of Charlotte. RAN will be organizing events and activities to participate in Alternative Shareholder Meeting and the May 9th protests .
