Ginger Cassady
CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR // RAINFOREST ACTION NETWORK
Ginger has 20 years of experience campaigning on national and international human rights and environmental issues, and is the Program Director for RAN’s Forests campaign. In her previous role as Director of RAN’s Change Chevron campaign, she worked with indigenous communities in the Amazon seeking to enforce one of the largest environmental lawsuits ever won against an oil company. Before moving to Rainforest Action Network in 2010, she was campaign director at Forest Ethics, where she focused on limiting pulp and paper expansion in the North American Boreal, which resulted in significant corporate policy commitments from companies like Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, American Express and other consumer-facing companies. Prior to Forest Ethics she was a senior campaigner at Greenpeace, where she worked to stop illegal logging in the Amazon and deforestation in the Boreal with the Kimberly-Clark campaign. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
