Tell Chase to Back Up Its Climate Commitments
In October 2020, Chase made an announcement that it is finally aligning its financing with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. The Paris agreement aims to keep us at 1.5 degrees celsius in warming, which would require us to zero out emissions by 2050. Right now, Chase is far from what true Paris alignment would be.
Tell Chase to do what the science demands in time for next year's UN Climate Change Conference:
- Zero out the bank's overall climate impact in line with 1.5°C.
- Stop financing companies and projects that expand fossil fuels and deforestation.
- Exit coal completely.
