Procter & Gamble: End the Carnage
P&G works with a dirty supplier called Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), which wreaks havoc on Indonesia's Indigenous communities and intact rainforests to keep cheap Conflict Palm Oil flowing.
Sign the petition to help us send P&G a message: It's time to put people and planet before profit—it's time to quit RGE!
To Procter & Gamble:
Rainforests are key to the survival of organized human society: They sequester enough carbon to keep the planet 1°C cooler, generate life-sustaining rain, and protect food systems, to name a few critical ecosystem services.
Rainforests also form the cultural and economic backbone of Indigenous and local communities who have stewarded the land for centuries and sometimes millennia, helping keep our planet within safe operating boundaries.
Despite these facts, Procter & Gamble continues to work with suppliers like Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) and others connected to rainforest destruction, Indigenous rights violations – as in the case of the Pargamanan Bintang Maria community – and even the use of child labor.
When P&G does business with unscrupulous suppliers like RGE, it tells consumers that P&G prefers short-term profits to crucial ecosystems, Indigenous rights, and the dignity and well-being of frontline communities, including children.
It’s imperative both for people and the planet that P&G act NOW to end its relationship with shady suppliers, terminating all sourcing from RGE and its full corporate group immediately.
