I’m sure you know by now that rainforests are key to the survival of organized human society: They sequester enough carbon to keep the planet 1°C cooler, generate life-sustaining rain, and protect food systems.

Rainforests also form the cultural and economic backbone of Indigenous and local communities who have stewarded the land generation after generation, helping keep our planet within safe operating boundaries.

Despite these facts, your company, Mondelēz International, continues to work with dirty suppliers like Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) and others connected to rainforest and peatland destruction and Indigenous rights violations – as in the case of the Pargamanan Bintang Maria community in North Sumatra.

When you do business with unscrupulous suppliers like RGE, you are telling consumers that Mondelēz is greedy for short-term profits at the expense of crucial ecosystems, Indigenous rights, and the dignity and well-being of frontline communities.

It’s imperative both for people and planet that Mondelēz act NOW to end its relationship with shady suppliers, terminating all sourcing from RGE and its full corporate group immediately.
