LNG (methane) terminals are a public health hazard! These facilities literally poison the communties they operate in, like Freeport, TX, leading to severe health impcts like asthma, heart disease, and cancers.

And yet, insurance companies like Liberty Mutual who are supposed to help protect us — our health, our homes, our communities — from disasters, are complicit in poisoning communities by not ruling out coverage for these facilities, like Freeport LNG.

Shockingly, Liberty’s CEO Tim Sweeney sits on the board of multiple health-related nonprofits including fundraising for a hospital, while his company insures projects that are detrimental to human health.
