MUFG is one of the biggest financial backers of methane gas expansion in the world: they're also the financial advisor and one of the major finaciers of Rio Grande LNG, a planned methane gas export teminal slated for Brownsville, Texas. Rio Grande LNG is set to move forward WITHOUT the consent of Indigenous and frontline communities. That's why they traveled to Japan to demand MUFG defund Rio Grande LNG.
